I have not entirely read Hegemony or Survival yet, but I definitely plan to this summer. It is extremely intriguing and very factual. Yet, this book is no easy read. The vocabulary has had me reading things over a few times, but once you get used to the intensity of the word choice, reading it can become fluent. The different facts and truisms in the book keep me reading all day. Just some of the shocking things in there make it hard to put down. Now if politics or philosophy is not your cup of tea, do not even bother buying this book. But on the other hand, if you have nothing better to do, pick it up. It will change the way you look at your very own government. It is impossible to read this book without thinking twice. If you had the choice between starting to read Twilight, and reading Hegemony or Survival, choose hegemony or survival. It will be worth your time learning about how corrupt the US is and finding your new views on politics than having day-dreams about fictional vampire teenagers. It’s time to start looking at reality. And there is no better book to start with than this one.
